Luciana was raised in Rome through her father and mother - Luciana's father was Manlio Paoluzzi, an Italian army officer and her maternal grandmother was Maria Rota Paoluzzi who was the one of Benito's lovers. It is not known if she has any siblings. Luciana was a student at the high school in her town, and after graduating in 1955 was a student at the Naval Engineering department of the Scientific Academy of Milan. She was the sole woman in her class. After two years of modeling she landed an appearance in Three Coins in the Fountain. The film was her debut. Her first husband was Brett Halsey who is also an actor. The couple made Return to the Peyton Palace in 1960 following their wed. Luciana received custody of the children following the divorce. They had a baby boy named Charles that was born on June of 1961. Luciana had a long-term relationship with Tony Athony who was who was a film actor and actor. Tony was inspired by her role on Green Slime to create the Spaghetti Western.
