Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco, the Canadian-American musician and singer. She has more than twenty albums. DiFranco's music is classified as folk and alternative rock, but it also has influences of hip-hop and jazz. Ani diFranco was among the first artist to establish her own record label in 1990. Ani is widely considered as a feminist icon. DiFranco was born in Buffalo New York on September 23 1970 the daughter of Elizabeth (Ross) and Dante Americo DiFranco, who had been in contact while at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her mother hails from Montreal and her father comes from Italian origins. Ani DiFranco composed and sang 32 Flavors. It is a track from her album from 1995 Not a Pretty Girl, which was her sixth studio album. A variation of the song was featured on the soundtrack of the 1999 Canadian romantic film Better Than Chocolate. DiFranco apology was made in the year 2013 when it was revealed that she was hosting an event for three days on one of the Louisiana former plantation for slaves.
