Ani Difranco
Angela Maria Ani DiFranco, the Canadian-American musician and singer. She has more than twenty albums. DiFranco's music is classified as folk and alternative rock, but it also has influences of hip-hop and jazz. Ani diFranco was among the first artist to establish her own record label in 1990. Ani is widely considered as a feminist icon. DiFranco was born in Buffalo New York on September 23 1970 the daughter of Elizabeth (Ross) and Dante Americo DiFranco, who had been in contact while at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her mother hails from Montreal and her father comes from Italian origins. Ani DiFranco composed and sang 32 Flavors. It is a track from her album from 1995 Not a Pretty Girl, which was her sixth studio album. A variation of the song was featured on the soundtrack of the 1999 Canadian romantic film Better Than Chocolate. DiFranco apology was made in the year 2013 when it was revealed that she was hosting an event for three days on one of the Louisiana former plantation for slaves. The workshop was cancelled, but she didn't show any regret. DiFranco apologized a couple of days afterwards. She is known for her Little Folksinger, but she's worked with many artists and genres such as Pete Seeger to Chuck D. She is from New Orleans. Ani DiFranco lives in New Orleans with Kristen Ford. The first song she wrote was at the age of fourteen. They were performed in bars and coffee shops throughout her teens. DiFranco graduated from the Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts high school when she was 16, and was enrolled in classes in Buffalo State College.
