Born on October 18, 1984 American alpine skier Lindsey Vonn who is now retired won four World Cup competitions and the downhill gold medal in the 2010 Winter Olympics. The second highest super score of any skier whether female or male. She is among the best skiers around and is also the most popular American skier. Lindsey American World Cup alpine ski racer Caroline Vonn also known as Lindsey Vonn competes for the US Ski Team. She has been the winner of all-around World Cup competition four times. She is a renowned athlete within American History. She is one of just six women who have been successful the five World Cup competitions in alpine. Overall, she's achieved 82 World Cup championships. The top skier in the world and the top American racer of all time in skiing have announced their retirements following their participation in the World Championship in Sweden. Four-time World Cup overall champion decided to retire after suffering a string of illnesses. The four-time overall World Cup champion announced her retirement via social media. My final race of my career will be held at Re Sweden next week, in the Downhill World Championships as well as the SG World Championships.
